Kimberly is currently a social work Ph.D. candidate and Research Project Director at Arizona State University Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research (STIR) and will be a lecturer (turning into a tenure-track assistant professor position) this Fall at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Social Work.
Kimberly has a focus on domestic sex trafficking and the therapeutic needs for exiting. She works closely with community groups, including the National Criminal Justice Training Center, AMBER Alert, Navajo Nation, City of Phoenix Starfish Place, Catholic Charities DIGNITY programs, Las Vegas Rape Crisis Center, UMOM, and the Phoenix and Las Vegas Metropolitan VICE Units. She is a single subject matter expert consultant for the United States Department of Justice. Her research work spans the prevention, detection, identification, and treatment of minor and adult sex trafficking victims.
